A voluntary, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to focus public attention on library services and needs.
- FRIENDS sponsor events such as foreign language and culture classes for elementary school students
- FRIENDS raise funds for special activities such as the Summer Reading Program
- FRIENDS assist with training adults to use the computer catalogue

Join the Friends and Help - To work for full and fair funding of our library
- to stimulate public support and greater use of our facilities
- to encourage gifts, endowments, and other bequests to the library
- to provide books, publications, equipment, and training not otherwise funded in the WCFL budget.
FRIENDS meet at the Central Library four times a year. Meetings are open to all.
